AMBER ALERT: 11-year-old missing girl found safe

UPDATE: Police confirm that an 11-year-old girl reported missing from Woodridge has been found safe and well.

 

EARLIER: The Queensland Police Service is seeking urgent public assistance to help locate an 11-year-old girl who was last seen at in Pilbi St, Woodridge yesterday afternoon at 4.40pm.

The girl is described as Caucasian in appearance, slim build with bright red hair, brown eyes and is 150cm tall.

She was last seen wearing a Mabel Park Primary School uniform, maroon shorts and maroon polo shirt with a grey stripe down the left sleeve. She was carrying a pink and green backpack.

The young girl was found "safe and well" by police on Friday morning.

Police thanked the media and the public for their assistance.
