Alleged thieves smash up Cosmos Centre, steal safe

POLICE are investigating a break-in at the Charleville Cosmos Centre after finding smashed doors and damaged property on the premises.

Between 10.30pm on September 19, and 10am on September 20, an unknown offender or offenders smashed a hole in a locked glass door and gained entry.

They found the main office of the centre, kicked the door in and rummaged through items inside, leaving some property damaged.

The alleged offenders stole a free standing safe before taking off through the entry door.

An untidy search was also conducted on the front desk and cafe.
