Anzac Day terror accused had "hatred for police"

ONE of the five men arrested over an alleged Anzac Day terror plot had a "hatred for police" and planned to die in the attack, the Melbourne Magistrates Court heard on Tuesday.

Hampton Park man Harun Causevic, 18, has been charged with conspiracy to commit acts done in preparation for, or planning, a terrorism act.

The prosecutor opposed Causevic's bail, telling the court the accused was a flight risk and danger to the public.

Australian Federal Police officer Dennis Scott said Causevic came to the attention of authorities after Numan Haider was shot dead last September after stabbing two police officers.

Causevic's co-accused Sevdet Besim, 18, withdrew his bail bid last week.
