AS CROWDS prepare to flock into town for the Roma Cup Carnival, Jo Tardent is preparing for the guests that will stay at her inn over the weekend.

The Roma Mid Town Motor Inn joint manager has seen her rooms become completely booked out in preparation for the Cup weekend, which is something of an annual tradition.

"It's the usual thing that happens, we get completely booked out for this November event because of people wanting to attend," she said.

"Some people have cancelled but a few minutes later there might be more bookings and the numbers fill up again.

"I've even had some people book ahead for another year when they stay."

The inn will also house the courtesy bus drivers that have been hired for the weekend.

Some mini celebrities will be staying, including Australia's first female race caller and this year's Fashions of the Field judge.

"It's all a bit surprising that these people are staying here," she said.

Having operated the business since July this year, Ms Tardent was looking forward to the Cup weekend and helping to cater for all the people staying.

"It's all to do with the location, we're a quick walk from the pub and club and not that far from Bassett Park," she said.

"It'll be a great weekend for everybody."
