Scout jamboree kicks off in Appin
ABOUT 11,000 children and young people have descended on the Macarthur Region of New South Wales for the scouting movement's 24th annual 10-day jamboree.
The youngsters and their leaders have set up camp on an area the size of 160 footy fields at Appin, about 70 minutes from Sydney.
The camp consists of 3000 tents and more than 230 temporary structures.
