Man charged after sixth-floor balcony fall on Gold Coast

A MAN was charged yesterday with assault occasioning grievous bodily harm after a man fell from a sixth floor balcony on the Gold Coast.
Marcus Lopes, 38, was critically injured after falling onto the rooftop of Surfers Paradise strip club Hollywood Showgirls on Saturday morning.
A 39-year-old man has been charged and will appear in court on January 19.
Police said they were investigating potential links to bikie gangs and believed the man had been in a heated argument before his fall.
