Eddie Obeid has pleaded not guilty to offering inducements

FORMER Labor heavyweight Eddie Obeid has pleaded not guilty to misconduct in public office.

Accused of offering inducements to a public servant in return for lease extensions on family-owned businesses in Sydney's Circular Quay, Obeid fronted the NSW Supreme Court.

A trial date of October 12 was set.
