70-year-old truckie charged with causing fatal crash

Police have charged a 70-year-old man following a fatal traffic crash which occurred in Peak Crossing last year.

Initial investigations indicated about 5.30am on October 1 a truck collided with a car at the intersection of Middle Road and Churchbank Weir Road.

The driver of the truck has been charged with one count of dangerous operation of a vehicle causing death and is scheduled to appear in the Ipswich Magistrates Court on September 20.
