60+ PHOTOS: Mitchell State School gets a visit from local heroes
STUDENTS at Mitchell State School were all smiles when the local police officer and paramedic allowed them to jump inside the paddy wagon and try out the stretcher.
Mitchell police officer constable Kevin Yang and paramedic Jamieson Brown popped into school on Monday to see how students were going and give them a bit of an insight into the work they do.
Rhiannon Lawson, business manager of the Mitchell State School said constable Yang did the rounds to most classes to say 'hi' and check in with the students.
"They all had lots of questions for him," she said.
"He also brought along his friend from the Ambulance Service and the children were able to investigate and look through their vehicles.
"Some of the children were so fast Kevin thought he could catch them out!"
